PERFORMANCE POWDER COATING NOW POWDERCOATING ALUMINIUM CASTINGS USING GARNIC EQUIPMENT

Geoff Tarquini, Managing Director of Performance Powder Coating (PPC), announces that he has now started a new powder coating facility to compliment his existing business and offers Powder Coating services to the general industry.

Eurotec will now exclusively use the services of PPC for all its powder coating requirements. The infrastructure and control of the new PPC Company will flow from Eurotec, the result being that the company will be set up to be professionally run, focused and efficient.

PPC offers specialized coating facilities for both the cast & extruded aluminium products. PPC offers specialized coating facilities for both the cast and extruded aluminium products. It will offer quality powder coating, short turnaround time and competitive price. The GARNIC Plant is a high volume system, therefore special rates will apply for volume orders.

Geoff Tarquini elected to purchase a GARNIC Powder Coating and Pre-treatment system because it offers the best value for money. The plant adopted includes, a Conveyorised automated spray cure system, tanks for Pre-treatment of aluminium extrusion and all metals, including a cast Aluminium pre-treatment plant. GARNIC has also supplied a fully automated effluent treatment plant to local water board specifications.

CHEMETALL has designed a pre-treatment sequence for the processes.
The cast aluminium is initially washed in a special mild alkali, non-caustic cleaner, and then Oxidized in Chemetall LNC solution and then given the Chromicoat protection prior to drying and powder coating.

Geoff Tarquini, says the Powder Coating process adopted by PPC is specialised in the coating of castings and extrusions and the process will provide superior protection compared to conventionally coated products.
